Merce Cunningham has been extending the frontiers of choreography for more than half a century, most recently with his use of the computer program Life Forms now called DanceForms. Merce was on the development team for this dance software. Each work he has choreographed since 1991 makes use of this program, and each is quite different from the others. Recently, Merce purchased a Macintosh Notebook for working with Life Forms while traveling. He has since discovered that he can also use his notebook for word processing!

From the legacy of Life Forms animation software, Credo Interactive presents the first choreography software designed with dance teachers and choreographers. DanceForms 1.0 inspires you to visualize and chronicle dance steps or entire routines in an easy-to-use 3D environment. For choreography, interdisciplinary arts and dance technology applications.

DanceForms is also the ideal tool for teaching and relaying choreography. It's easy to show your students the nuances of a particular step or sequence. Simply use the interactive, 3D playback feature which will allow them to zoom, pan, and tilt to see the motion from any desired angle. See a list of Colleges and Universities already using DanceForms software.

Let your students unleash their imagination and further hone their skills as they learn how to turn their choreographic ideas into 3D animations! Visit Credo Interactive to learn more.
